Refurbishment of Orco Tower’s interior completed

After being refurbished internally, office building Orco Tower has been gaining popularity. Over 90 percent of office space has been already leased. TATA, Commarch, PNO Consultants, Adecco and Calzedonia Polska are among new tenants.

When the Endurance Fund, the investment fund sponsored and managed by Orco Property Group, acquired Orco Tower on July 14th 2006, the building was only 20 percent leased following the departure of anchor tenant, Plus GSM. Now almost all available office space has been contracted.

“We have decided to implement an extensive renovation and to significantly improve the energy efficiency of the building. We have noted that an attractive design and efficient building is as important for tenants as lease prices and available amenities”, said Douglas Noble, Director of Orco Property Group Warsaw.

The entry space, reception hall, security area, all lift lobbies, toilets and common circulation areas have been rebuilt. New finishes on floors, walls and ceilings have given the interior a fresh futuristic look. Tenant spaces have been renewed, spaces which feature raised floors, air conditioning, and generous clear floor to ceiling heights of 2.85m.

“We have implemented low-energy lighting controlled by motion detection, and utilised energy-saving LED technology”, said Bogdan Goławski, sustainability manager. “Although the main entry is considerably lighter, the use of energy in this area has decreased. The concept is consistent with Orco’s strategy of sustainable development”, added Goławski.

At the moment Orco Property Group is preparing the refurbishment project for the façade. These works should be completed in approximately four months.
