DTZ creates new Poland & Central Europe Managing Director role |
Global property adviser DTZ has created a new senior managerial role
within its existing Northern European management structure in a
response to rapid growth, particularly through its recently enhanced
retail offer throughout the region.
Alan Colquhoun, currently managing director at DTZ in Poland, will take
on wider regional responsibilities with immediate effect, becoming
managing director, Poland & Central Europe. DTZ’s managing
directors in Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic remain in place,
but will now report to Alan Colquhoun in Poland rather than the
UK-based Northern European managing director, Peter Collins.
The DTZ business in these four Central European countries has grown to a combined total of more than 300 employees.

DTZ’s Northern Europe managing director, Peter Collins, commented: “Our
rapid growth throughout northern Europe requires a different approach
and Alan’s many years experience in the region will be of great benefit
to our clients and provide very useful support to the individual
country managing directors who will continue to manage their local
businesses. The improved management structure will allow DTZ to better
serve its clients.”
Alan Colquhoun added: “I am really excited by this new challenge, which
is made easier by the enthusiasm of my colleagues across the region and
the excellent support and skills-based teams in place in Poland.”
Alan joined DTZ Prague in 1993 as a senior office leasing agent, later
becoming Agency Director and, in July 1996, Managing Director of the
Czech business. In July 1999 he relocated to Warsaw, taking on the MD
role at DTZ Poland.
A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Alan has lived and worked outside the
UK since 1983, having lived previously in Germany as well as the Czech
Republic and Poland. With an academic background originally in Business
Studies and Transport Planning, Alan qualified as a Chartered Surveyor
in October 2006.
