From 1 May 2007, Katarzyna Dulewicz, Marek Durski, Arkadiusz
Michaliszyn and Rafał Stroiński will become partners at CMS Cameron
McKenna, a leading international law office in Poland.
Małgorzata Surdek, currently a partner at the Warsaw office, will become an international partner.
Małgorzata Surdek is in charge of the Commercial Department. She is an
advocate (adwokat) and has worked with CMS Cameron McKenna since 1996.
She specialises in competition, state aid, public procurement,
intellectual property and consumer protection law. Małgorzata Surdek
co-ordinates the work of the CMS Cameron McKenna Consumer Products
Sector Focus Group for Central and Eastern Europe, through which she
has built up an FMCG practice.
Katarzyna Dulewicz will be a new partner in the Commercial Law
Department. She is a legal counsel (radca prawny) responsible for the
labour law practice. The practice advises clients on company ownership
transformations (mergers and acquisitions), management contracts, and
employment restructuring and incentive schemes. Additionally, Katarzyna
Dulewicz co-ordinates the CMS Cameron McKenna labour practice for
Central and Eastern Europe.
Two new partners will reinforce the Corporate Law Department. Tax
advisor Arkadiusz Michaliszyn will be responsible for the tax practice.
He specialises in advisory services in the field of international tax
planning and business project tax structuring. The main practice areas
of Dr Rafał Stroiński are mergers and acquisitions, specifically in the
private equity sector and corporate governance issues. Chambers Global
recommends Dr Rafał Stroiński as an expert in corporate and M&A
law.

Legal counsel (radca prawny) Marek Durski, who will be responsible for
regulatory issues in the Energy, Projects and Construction Department,
specialises in providing advisory services to clients from the energy
sector. He advises the largest Polish and international energy concerns
on all aspects of business in the energy and fuel sector.
“Appointing so many lawyers is a clear message to the market that our
law office is still developing very dynamically, at the same time
specialising in various fields of law. It is also a very good and
encouraging example for the more junior lawyers in our office, as most
of the newly appointed partners started working with us as students”,
says Andrew Kozlowski, Managing Partner of CMS Cameron McKenna.
