New tax advisor at Lovells |
Dorota Walerjan, a tax advisor with extensive
experience, has joined Lovells’ Warsaw office. The tax department team,
headed by Andrzej Dębiec, now comprises 6 advisors.
Dorota Walerjan spent 13 years in the tax department of
Pricewaterhouse - Coopers (formerly Price Waterhouse), and between 2004
and 2006 she was a director in that department and leader of the
consumer goods, commerce and distribution section. She advised almost
100 companies, mainly from such fields as FMCG, commerce and
distribution, agricultural business, timber processing, and the paper
production industry.

Dorota Walerjan has professional education and experience enabling her
to combine her extensive knowledge in tax law with a thorough
understanding of economic and business aspects of the activity of
companies. She has a post-graduate qualification in management,
conferred by Newcastle upon Tyne University, and another post-graduate
qualification in tax law from the Faculty of Law and Administration of
Łódź University. In 1995 she obtained her ACCA diploma in accounting
and finances.
Dorota Walerjan has been a legal and fiscal consultant for Polskie
Stowarzyszenie Wytwórców Towarów Markowych ProMarka. She has also given
a number of speeches at various conferences organized by the Academy of
Direct Marketing, BROG, and ECU Marketing.
She has co-authored the books '”Representation, Advertising, Promotion
– Tax Issues” (2003 and 2005) and “Promotional and Advertising
Campaigns: Income Tax Effects for Private Individuals" (2004). She also
lectures in practical aspects of tax law at the Warsaw School of
Economics (SGH). |
