Mmd, leading corporate, PA and PR consultancy in CEE, CIS and SEE region, has appointed Ewa Szejner
as General Manager of Mmd Poland. It is the first time in over 10
year’s presence of the company on the Polish market that management
function has been handed over to a Pole with international appointments
made since Mmd entered the Polish market in 1996. Ian Herbison, former
GM of Mmd Poland has been promoted to lead the CEE region but will
continue to base himself in Warsaw and provide board-level counsel to
select clients.
Ewa Szejner has been working in Mmd for nearly two years. To date she
has been in charge of a team delivering Public Affairs and corporate
communication campaigns. In parallel to her new role, Ewa will continue
direct responsibility for this practice although further appointments
will be made to add senior resources into this area of the business as
Mmd looks to strengthen its focus of high-end corporate consultancy. „I
have been observing for some time that major foreign investors and
local blue-chips increasingly appreciate the value of a strategic
counsel in corporate communication.

Achievement of business goals more
and more often depends on effective management of issues and proactive
integrated communication. Mmd has a particular competence in these
areas, thus I am optimistic about opportunities for growth on the
Polish market” – said Ewa Szejner.
Ewa has over 12 years of experience in transforming companies and in
business excellence. She specializes in creating strategies of
corporate communication, Public Affairs, issues management as well as
creating and changing corporate cultures. She was involved in a couple
of projects in the field of international Public Affairs, worked for
Department of State of the US, Cambridge Centre for Competitiveness and
Innovation and European Centre for Quality. She was a winner of a
prestigious International Visitors Program, competition organized by US
State Department, which awards outstanding personalities from politics,
business and social science areas.
Recognizing great growth potential in the Eurasia region, Mmd modified
its management structure in the whole network. Chris Dobson, Chief
Operating Officer, will be managing the business from Moscow rather
than from Hungary. Following this change, Sconaid McGeachin, who was in
charge of the Polish Mmd office in 2001-2003, became SEE Regional
Director.
