Jerzy Brniak, Country Head of BP Poland since 2004,
held various accounting and financial roles in a wide range of Polish
companies before joining BP in 1992 where he has worked as chief
accountant, finance director and national tax manager.
For nearly 13 years he led various BP projects in Poland, such as the
establishment of Mobil JV, its subsequent dissolution, the merger with
Castrol and Aral and the EU Accession project.
Jerzy graduated from Kraków University of Economics in 1977 with a
Master’s Degree in International Trade. He is a member of the Polish
Chartered Accountants Association (KIBR) and board member of two
charities, Sapere Auso and Sacr Art.
His interests include music, politics and travel.
Oliver Murphy, director at Ernst & Young Corporate
Finance, has spent eight years in Poland with Ernst & Young and has
broad corporate financial experience within both the UK and Poland. He
specialises in due diligence and advising on post-merger integration.
Prior to coming to Poland Oliver was involved in the financing of
technology start-ups, particularly spin-offs from universities.
As a BPCC board member he intends to play an active role in building
relationships between academia, technology incubators and industry
within Poland, and to promote the financing and commercialisation of
Polish technology enterprises internationally.
Oliver is a graduate of Manchester University in Economics and
Government and an ACA Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW). He speaks
fluent Polish.

Michał Różański, GM of Enterplan in Poland, holds a
Master’s Degree in Management and Marketing from the Leon Koźmiński
Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management. He also completed
post-graduate studies in EU Programmes Management from the Business
Institute. Michał is a specialist in SME development, clustering and
social capital development, organising training and providing
consultancy in these areas since 2000. Through his work in Poland and
Cyprus, he is familiar with the needs and expectations of SMEs in
Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the management of EU projects,
particularly regarding opportunities for regional and local authorities
and companies to access EU funds.
Michał has designed programmes to support SMEs in the agri-food sector
e.g. the British Polish Agri-Food Cluster. He has an understanding of
the process of encouraging development of entrepreneurship, and
provides consultancy support to enterprises in order to generate
growth. Within the EU Promotion of Clustering project implemented for
the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and worth PLN 5.67 million
he holds the position of Key Expert for Promotion and Recruitment.
In his leisure time he enjoys discovering Poland, its extraordinary
cultures, traditions and landscapes, and travelling with friends to the
Mazurian Lakeland, the mountains and the beautiful town of Kazimierz
nad Wisłą. |
