Growenterprise

FIT was one of three successful bids from the Malopolska region to participate in Growenterprise, a multi-country EU funded project designed to create a network and partnership of universities, enterprise hubs and business incubators within and across European regions.

The project was led by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA). South East England is one of the most
successful regional economies in Europe and seventh largest regional economy globally; SEEDA has a network of 22 Enterprise hubs.

Kraków partners include the Jagiellonian University’s Centre for Innovation and Technology (CITTRU), the Technology
Transfer Centre of the Kraków University of Technology, (CTT) the Kraków Technology Park (KPT) and the Malopolska Regional Development Agency (MARR). FIT is also co-operating closely with the University of Oxford on the project.

Growenterprise had four key objectives:

• Promote best practice in the creation of knowledge-based start-ups and the support of entrepreneurs in their growth
• Provide cross-cultural learning and business opportunity for young Polish and European entrepreneurs
• Provide a framework for business coaching and mentoring
• Increase and actively engage in the support available for startups – development, manufacturing and financial with the aim of optimising route to market. Growenterprise concluded in December 2007.

FIT is working with a number of partners to promote and support the development of innovation in Poland – GSK, Ernst and Young, the BCC Fundacja Akademickie Inkubatory Przedsiębiorczości and The Fundacja na Rzecz Nauki Polskiej.

We are firmly committed to supporting innovation in Poland and the development of the country’s young scientists.
