Poland shines brightly at this year’s MIPIM property show

“An extremely impressive performance with some superb investment projects” – this was the buzz at the Poland Pavilion at MIPIM, according to Martin Oxley chief executive officer of the British Polish Chamber of Commerce.
MIPIM, held annually in Cannes, is the world's leading property fair. This year in front of 22,000 delegates, Poland's exhibition pavilion was ranked among the largest and most professional of the whole event.

"The pavilion was great – really welcoming, bright and illustrating a country full of promise. It was a blend of new investment projects and professionally prepared inner city regeneration projects, truly a one stop on investment opportunity in Poland.

“Gdansk and Opole made their debuts in Cannes with some very attractive offers such as the Granary Island development in Gdansk. Opole came prepared with a number of really good city development projects.

Poznan and Szececin both presented attractive offers. Katowice made its return to the French Riviera with a highly creative City Centre regeneration project. Krakow and Warsaw took prime position at the event, with the capital promoting Zlote 44, designed by world-renowned Polish architect Daniel Libeskind.

At the event, Libeskind said: "I love Poland, I love Warsaw and I love Lodz. I have known this place since my childhood. Zlota 44 will symbolize the wealth of opportunity in Warsaw and emphasise its value to the world. It is a building which embraces the aspirations of Warsaw. It's great to see its all really starting to happen! I wanted to design and create something which is really going to make Warsaw a leading capital city in Europe."

Daniel Libeskind, has risen to become one of the world's most renowned architects. He is responsible for creating some of the world's most striking buildings - he is working on over 40 projects worldwide of which the most notable is the master plan for Ground Zero in New York.
Working as a team with Polish cities and regions to promote the massive opportunity of Poland was the British Polish Chamber of Commerce and RedNet Property Group, Orco Property Group, Prokom Investments and IVG Real Estate.

"The difference between MIPIM this year and last year is as night and day. Poland has got its act together and is really assertively promoting itself. The BPCC is proud to be in Cannes at the Poland pavilion promoting a one stop investment point in Poland along with its member companies TGC, Euromost, First Title, MCKB, Davidoff, Kleeberg and Maresch."
