City & Guilds - the UK's leading vocational awarding body for work-related qualifications - is delighted to be participating in the fifth International Employment Conference and British Polish Recruitment Fair.

City & Guilds reputation is built on decades of working closely with industry to understand their needs and delivering the skilled workforce today’s world demands.

Individuals upgrading skills for international work need look no further than City & Guilds, offering over 500 qualifications including high demand industry areas like health and safety, health and social care, engineering, automotive, construction and English for speakers of foreign languages.

City & Guilds  also offer a wide and innovative range of training solutions for employers worldwide. City & Guilds deliver solutions that match the requirements of each business we work with be it qualifications, consultation, customisation, mapping or accreditation, and offer comprehensive and specialist learning and training solutions to employers who are recruiting staff for the UK. City & Guilds can also offer help with access to more senior positions in this country via leadership and management opportunities.

Technology lies at the heart of much of what we do and we are delivering e-learning and e-assessment to an international audience. Over 1.38 million exams have been completed using our market-leading Global Online Assessment tool (GOLA). With an average of 14,000 more every week we don’t want to keep this success to ourselves. City & Guilds are working with other awarding bodies and employers to offer GOLA testing to learners who are sitting non-City & Guilds examinations. Our first major client - a long established provider of professional examinations, running more than 80,000 exams each year has just launched its own tests on GOLA.

City & Guilds have been recognised by the UK’s premier e-learning industry body who have just shortlisted two of our online resources - SmartScreen.co.uk and Learning for Living - for the prestigious eLearning Awards 2006. We are also working with the UK’s leading educational publisher to deliver the first fully integrated e-course for vocational education.

In May 2006 City & Guilds organised a successful conference in Warsaw on competitive issues: ‘The Business Case for e-learning’ funded by the EU Leonardo da Vinci programme. They now look forward to engaging further with the Polish business community.
