Technology lies at the heart of much of what we do and we are
delivering e-learning and e-assessment to an international audience.
Over 1.38 million exams have been completed using our market-leading
Global Online Assessment tool (GOLA). With an average of 14,000 more
every week we don’t want to keep this success to ourselves. City &
Guilds are working with other awarding bodies and employers to offer
GOLA testing to learners who are sitting non-City & Guilds
examinations. Our first major client - a long established provider of
professional examinations, running more than 80,000 exams each year has
just launched its own tests on GOLA.
City & Guilds have been recognised by the UK’s premier e-learning
industry body who have just shortlisted two of our online resources -
SmartScreen.co.uk and Learning for Living - for the prestigious
eLearning Awards 2006. We are also working with the UK’s leading
educational publisher to deliver the first fully integrated e-course
for vocational education.
In May 2006 City & Guilds organised a successful conference in
Warsaw on competitive issues: ‘The Business Case for e-learning’ funded
by the EU Leonardo da Vinci programme. They now look forward to
engaging further with the Polish business community.
