SHERATON BUSINESS DEBATES is a successful series of Grand Business Breakfasts organised by BPCC Gdansk.
The meetings are interactive with speakers and guests discussing the given topic. The first debate took place in Sheraton Sopot Hotel, Conference Center & Spa on 13th March 2009.
The topic was “Economic Crisis: more government or more Freedom?”
Hotel Sheraton a new 5 star landmark in the Tri-City area invited everyone to breakfast where guests tasted and even learned how to prepare a simple but sophisticated morning meal.

Discussion was so hot that the meeting overran and ended just before midday!

The second edition of SHERATON BUSINESS DEBATES took place in Sopot on 8th May. This topic was really up to date and a serious area of discussion for the region – “Nuclear Power In Gdansk Region: A must or a gimmick?”

Participants had a lot of questions for the speaker Zbigniew Kamieński head of Nuclear Energy Department in Ministry of Economy. He underlined that Poland has to invest in this type of energy and that the Government is determined to launch the first nuclear plant by 2020. It is very challenging date but it is possible.
Jan Kozłowski – marshall of Pomorskie Region explained the benefits for the Gdansk Region if this plant will be constructed here. There are technical and commercial advantages which might be supportive in the context of regional universities, technical parks, etc.
Balancing the national energy system of distribution is an additional issue which may impact on energy prices in the future.
Guests were invited to taste Frittata; a Sheraton breakfast surprise and it turned out that these are delicious and very easy to make!
The next SHERATON BUSINESS DEBATE by BPCC is planned for 11th September and will focus on EURO2012. On 23rd October we invite you to participate in a debate about “The Gdansk Metropolis: A PR Trick or the next stage of progress?”
