The British Polish Chamber of Commerce

is looking for member companies to join it for the BPCC UK Autumn Roadshow 2008 (four half-day seminars about business opportunities in Poland)

Liverpool - Leeds - Birmingham - London

For the fifth year in a row, the BPCC will be touring the UK to encourage Britain's medium-sized businesses (especially exporters) to enter the Polish market. The strong zloty (it has appreciated against the pound by 26% in the year to August), makes this an excellent time to persuade those UK exporters who've not yet looked at Poland to do so!

The BPCC will once again be looking for a law firm, a management consultancy, an HR company and a property company to join its team to promote Polish market opportunities. The cost of sponsoring and presenting at all four seminars is Ł 2,200 per company.

Next year, Poland's economic growth is forecast to be four times faster than the UK's. Consumer spending is growing at 15% year on year, the zloty is at an all-time high against the pound.

The BPCC will once again be assembling a panel of Polish market experts to present an up-to-date picture of the market opportunities for UK firms. Poland needs to be presented as a fast-growing market that is likely to avoid the economic slowdown affecting the UK and western Europe.

Presentations will cover key aspects of doing business in Poland. The agenda is designed to show just how much has changed in the four and half years since Poland joined the EU, and how new opportunities have arisen for UK companies that were not present even a year ago.

Our target group is UK manufacturers and exporters doing business with France, Germany, Scandinavia, Holland or Spain, as well as potential investors. The strong zloty, rapid growth in consumer spending power (average monthly wages in Poland have soared from L320 then to L785 today), rapid growth in capital investment, EU funds for business, PPP solutions for infrastructure projects, all create brand-new opportunities for British companies that as yet have not looked closely at the Polish market.
