A quarter of a century ago, the British Chamber of Commerce in Poland was set up to support British investors who at that time were establishing their businesses in the Polish market, which was then in the throes of economic transformation.
For us, then, an important year that we want to celebrate accordingly. January saw two great events in London and in Warsaw, with the attendance of our two honorary presidents, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Poland, Jonathan Knott, and the Polish Ambassador to Britain, Arkady Rzegocki. Other highlights of the anniversary year to look forward to include a special printed edition of Contact Magazine in June and our 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner, which will be held on 19 October at Warsaw’s Intercontinental hotel. Look out for marketing announcements in March.
For the first time ever we dedicate the entire edition of Contact Magazine Online to the UK side of BPCC’s network. A must-read is the interview with Ambassador Rzegocki, who took up the post last autumn. Our UK-based vice chairman, Michael Clay has shared details of his work and our activity in London.
On 9 March we invite members to our offices for a briefing on two reports that the BPCC has been instrumental in producing. One considers the beneficial impact of foreign direct investment on the Polish economy, the second is a guide to doing business that we launched last month. Our new members’ showcase will bring to your attention new products and services that now available to members of our community. The briefing will start at 18.00 with a networking mixer to follow at our Zielna offices.
See you there!
